16W05 | WDLR D Class Bogie Wagon | £83.94 | £100.73 |
These wagons were built in large number by several manufacturers for use by the 60cm (c.2ft-0in) gauge War Department Light Railways during the Great War of 1914-1918 (often referred to as the First World War). Many wagons survived the War (and indeed right up to the 'preservation'era), and were used on such railways as the Ashover Light Railway and the Festiniog and Welsh Highland lines.
Construction of the kit is largely from detailed injection moulded polystyrene components, with some lost wax cast brass parts, and come complete with bogies, steel tyred wheels and scale couplings.
