The A class, along with the B and C classes, were the first standard types built for and used by the WDLR
in the Great War. They were later superceded by the D class (also the subject of a Slater's kit) and
its derivatives.
The kit is largely of polyurethane resin with a one-piece body and separate chassis. It includes steel tyred
wheels, brass bearings, metal brake lever, and correct metal couplings.
