Gauge O Private Owner Wagon Kits

These are authentic plastic injection moulded kits with sprung buffers and couplings. They are normally supplied with fine scale wheels but either coarse scale or Scale 7 wheels can optionally be supplied.

Private owner wagons are wagons that were owned by private individuals, companies or collieries etc. as opposed to railway companies. These kits have pre-printed sides and are authentic copies of the original.

All private owner wagons except black liveries have the solebars sprayed to match the sides removing the need for the customer to match the solebar to the body colour.

Kit marked * are painted using out new process.

We can also offer personalised wagons printed using a standard computer font on any of our PO wagon kits. Please contact us for details.

PAINTING DETAILS

The majority of private owner liveries were bases on one of four body colours; black, red oxide, grey or dark brown. The body colour was taken down on to the solebar, but all running gear and ironwork on the body being painted black.

There were obvious exceptions to the above and some quite colourful wagons did exist.
